The wild camel or wild Bactrian camel is a mammal of the Camelidae family.
The Bactrian camel is unmistakable for the two humps on the back, which essentially consist of the lipid tissue.

It is a very large animal, with a length of about 300 cm, a height (to the crests) of up to 230 cm and a body weight of up to 1000 kg. The face is long and somewhat triangular, with a split, hairy upper lip. The nostrils can be sealed to prevent dust from entering the frequent sandstorms that occur in the arid habitat of the camel.

The wild camel lives in the great Gobi desert, located in the central sector of the Asian continent. It is one of the largest deserts in the world; in the geological past it was the inner sea basin.
