The best way to see the city of Puerto Varas is to walk from one end to another and observe their unmistakable German-inspired architecture, development modern residential and beautiful gardens. One of the highlights is the colorful and impressive Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which was
founded in 1853 by German and Swiss settlers who came to populate southern Chile.

Located in central streets and boulevards adorned with roses offer comings and goings of people who enjoy their snack bars, teahouses and restaurants.
Two natural viewpoints are the Calvario Phillipi and mountains, from both an overall view of the city and surrounding notion of the expanse of Lake Llanquihue is obtained and lush vegetation that borders.

Heading up the downtown streets will discover historical treasures declared cultural heritage. La Casa Kuschel, the Niklitschek House are just a few and are the true essence of German culture of the early twentieth century.
