CITY TOUR AND SANTA CATALINA MONASTERY
The White City opens its doors on a journey that starts in the beautiful colonial district of San Lazaro, founding place of Arequipa, from here walk through its picturesque streets adorned with geraniums and then head to the viewpoint of Carmen Alto, that gives us a beautiful landscape of agricultural terraces and from where we can see the three volcanoes that surround the city: Misti, Chachani and Pichu Picchu.
We proceed to the, famous for its church built in Andalusian style and colonial district of Yanahuara lookout, built with a beautiful architecture and surrounded by ashlar arches. Then visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, impressive religious monument was closed for about 400 years, with narrow streets, squares and gardens reminiscent of the old quarters of Seville or Granada. Finally, we will go to the Plaza de Armas, where we can see the Cathedral and the arches that surround the square, finally we will go to the Church of the Society of Jesus; founded in the seventeenth century by the Jesuits, they emphasize its cloisters and the famous Dome of San Ignacio
