Discover New York in one day, with boat cruise
Our excursion begins at 10:00 am, from 7th Ave between 50th and 51st streets (in the middle of the block) and ends in the same place.
We will begin with a tour of the Times Square area, where we will have our first stop at Central Park West and 72nd Street, at the Dakota Building (former home of John Lennon).
The stop includes a short guided walk to Central Park to visit Strawberry Fields with the Imagine mosaic dedicated to John Lennon, as well as views of other sites in the area, such as luxury condominiums that many celebrities consider their home. We will also drive through Central Park Zoo, the famous Plaza Hotel and Carnegie Hall.
Our second stop is the Rockefeller Center, which offers views of St. Patricks Cathedral, the location of the ice skating rink and Christmas tree, and the NBC Today Today show.
The third stop is Madison Square Park, the original location of the Madison Square Garden Arena. This area offers spectacular views of the dramatic architecture presented in numerous books and films: the Flatiron Building (Godzilla, Spider-Man), the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower (The Runaway Skyscraper, Futurama) and the Empire State Building (King Kong, Independence Day).
The tour continues with a tour of some of the iconic neighborhoods of New York City, such as Greenwich Village, Soho, Chinatown and the financial district.
On the way to the fourth stop, we drive down Wall Street to see the sights of the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall (the location of the first building of the US Capitol), the Church of the Trinity and a tour of the famous sculpture Charging Bull on Broadway
The fourth stop is the World Trade Center, since we visited the 9/11 Memorial. The tour does not include entrance to the 9/11 Museum, but visitors can walk through the Memorial grounds, visit the Reflecting Absence waterfalls (the traces of where the original twin towers were located) and see the Survivor Tree that He faced the destruction of 9/11.
Around 1 pm, we will take a lunch break at the Fulton 55 Market.
The fifth stop is at Pier 15 for the 2:30 pm boat cruise with the Hornblower to enjoy the magnificent views of the buildings of Manhattan and Brooklyn, the iconic bridges of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg, Governors Island, Ellis Island and a 360 degree turn in front of the Statue of Liberty for amazing photo opportunities
Please note that in the low season, between January 1 and April 1, instead of a boat cruise, guests visit the Grand Central Terminal.
The boat docked at Pier 15 in Midtown Manhattan, where we boarded our bus to continue the tour, while we returned to our original starting point on 7th Avenue.
