Archeological Site of Tipon
It is an architectural complex of great importance, made up of 12 terraces flanked by stone walls perfectly polished and huge terraces, ornamental falls and water channels coupled with flora offer visitors a great cultural and scenic value. It is considered that Tipon is one of the royal grounds and gardens that Wiracocha ordered to build.
Citadel Pikillacta
This citadel Pre Inca corresponds to the Wari culture, its height is estimated between 800-1100 AD, its magnitude is among one of the main cities in ancient Peru, you can see buildings up to two floors all with mud mortar. The monument features a variety of architectural structures of compounds, colcas (food store); agricultural infrastructure such as terraces, reservoirs, irrigation canals, security walls, covers entry and exit, quarries, ways that allow exhaust Qollasuyo, ceremonial centers, squares, streets, spaces funerary contexts. Its construction is made of small stones and mud mortar and its foundations are tapering as achieved high; in some parts of the buildings are two stories. The urban part of the monument is surrounded by a wall 5 meters whose corners are directed to the four cardinal points. Pikillaqta translated into Castilian means City Flea some believe that the name could be given by small stones used in construction.
